When I was in college I was walking by a tea stall and I saw a boy washing the used glass cups. He was dressed shabby and looked very tired. I ordered my tea and waited for the boy to bring it to me. When he came to me I noticed his torn clothes and dirty hair and hands were weary and tired. I asked him how old are you and he said 8. I asked him don’t you go to school? He said my family can’t afford it, so I am happy to help my parents in providing food for my sisters and brother who are all younger than me.
This picture stuck with me for the rest of that year. I prayed that day and asked God - ‘Jesus, please help me to help people who are less fortunate and to make a difference in their lives so they can change the future of their families and people around them’.
Then I started working part time jobs and every Christmas I started buying outfits for these small child laborers and their families, including the boy I saw at the tea shop. Then slowly I started paying for college education for few students and pay for hospital bills for the poor with my minimum salary, no matter what their faith or beliefs were.
One day my father came to me and said why you don’t do it legally as a trust on your own so you can do more and also get some help from friends and family and do it in large scale. My friends from church and youth group encouraged me to do God’s ministry by doing good to people who needs help, in doing so show them the real love of Jesus and the purpose of His life on earth. This is how “ ‘DAYS’ (Dynamic Ambitious Youth Souls) of Christ” was birthed along with 2 other people.
We registered our organization in 2002 and have been carrying out the vision God has given us to this day. Now we have expanded in His work with new addition of people and purpose, as God has made our vision bigger. Your love and prayers are always appreciated in our ministry.
To help people who are less fortunate and are in need, to make a difference in their lives so they can change the future of their families and people around them.
Luke 4: 18 & 19 - "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,19. to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor."
Isaiah 61: 1-3 - The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, 2. to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, 3. and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.
